St. Andrew’s Lutheran is an ELCA church in the San Carlos neighborhood of San Diego, California. We are a medium sized congregation of caring persons committed to “Being Disciples and Making Disciples.”   We do this through worship and fellowship, outreach in our community, support of our youth, and participation in wider missions of the church.

St. Andrew’s had its first worship service on Easter Sunday 1961 in a home on Lake Ben Ave. The congregation moved to the present site on the corner of Lake Murray Blvd. and Jackson Drive in 1962(??). We are a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and Pacifica Synod (one of 65 synods, or geographic districts, in the ELCA). Currently the facility includes a sanctuary, office space, preschool, and Community Center. St. Andrew’s is currently in the midst of developing a long-range facility plan, as the current membership and ministries have outgrown the existing facilities.

We invite you to join us for worship, fellowship or one of our events.
